Tom Colton donates €2,400 to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin

Tom Colton thanks Crumlin Children’s Hospital with €2,400

This week a client of mine, Tom Colton, has donated €2,400 to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin, Dublin. Tom has a fairly controversial vocation, no it’s not the fact that he is a qualified accountant (which he is), but also that he is Ireland’s leading spiritualist medium.

Whether you are believer or a cynic in Tom’s ability, there’s not doubting his generosity. I recently did the PR on his very successful ‘Feel The Spirit’ national tour, that went to the four corners of the country, at each event Tom tirelessly pleaded for money for the hospital and had collection buckets on the way in and out. Thankfully Tom’s clients and supporters heeded his call – they gave generously.

Tom has given a great deal of time and effort to the Children’s hospital for free and asked for nothing in return. On 31st October he held a Halloween Ball in aid of the Hospital at the Red Cow Inn, again his time and marketing of the event were paid for by Tom (I also did the PR for free for the event).

Tom has very close affinity with the hospital after his daughter Katie was admitted thre with meningitis in 2007. She spent a week in Intensive Care and, with the help of the staff there, she has made a full recovery; this is Tom’s way of saying thank you to the hospital.

Tom is also undertaking a ten day trek through the rainforests of Brazil in October to raise money for the hospital. He is hoping to raise €10,000.

The hospital is desperate for fund as donations have reduced during the recession. I think this is a great cause and would like to ask anyone reading this blog post to give a donation to the hospital, no matter how small, via the hospital’s website charity http://www.cmrf.org/

Tom Colton’s Charity Halloween Ball In Aid of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin

Medium at large on Halloween

Charity fancy dress Halloween Ball in aid of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin

Tom Colton, Ireland’s foremost spiritualist medium, is bringing his ‘Feel the Spirit Tour’ to back to Dublin over the next few weeks. October culminates in special charity Halloween Ball that Tom is doing for free in aid of Our Lady’s Hospital Crumlin on Saturday 31st October at the Red Cow Hotel, Dublin.

The hospital was chosen as Tom’s official charity after his daughter Katie was admitted to the hospital with meningitis in 2007 actually on Halloween. With the help of the staff there she has made a full recovery and this ball is Tom’s way of saying thank you to the hospital. He has also had collection boxes at all his events.

Tom said: “The Crumlin children’s hospital has had a close place in my heart ever since my daughter Katie was rushed there with meningitis actually on Halloween 31st October, 2007. Thankfully because of the quick reaction and hard work of the medical staff at the hospital Katie made a full recovery after spending time in Intensive Care and a week in hospital. This charity ball is a way of saying thank you to the hospital. The ball will be full fancy dress, no exceptions even for me!

Thought provoking, gripping, and often astounding, Tom brings comfort to those he reads for and his genuine approach has won him many friends. He is well known for his national TV and radio appearances and recently kicked off the tour with successful events in Cavan, Kildare and all over Munster last month, where he demonstrated his abilities in front of hundreds of people.

Tom is undertaking the first national tour ever by an Irish medium and includes a total of fifty dates right across the country.

As a spiritualist medium Tom Colton is able to connect with the spirits of the bereaved. He is the only known medium to allow those he reads to feel the energy of their loved ones in the same way he does. Tom believes that everyone can connect and communicate with spirit in the way he does “they just have to learn how, there is no special gift” he says, “it is literally an ability everybody has”.

Tom can also be caught at the AXIS Ballymun on Friday 30th October, the Crowne Plaza Hotel Blanchardstown on 12th November and the Portmarnock Hotel, Dublin on 20th November. There are also further dates in Clare, Cork and Louth.

Participants are requested to bring a photograph of a bereaved loved one they would like to Tom to connect with, but there must be no writing on photo and only the person they are looking to connect with must be in the picture.

All tickets for Halloween Ball are €50 available from the Red Cow Hotel. All proceeds go to the Children’s Hospital Crumlin. For further details please see www.tomcolton.com or call 0860234164.

NOTES TO EDITORS

Tom Colton has communicated and interacted with spirits since he was a child. Though it was not until Tom’s uncle, Richard, died in 2001, that he started reconnecting with spirit world as an adult.

During the past eight years Tom has developed his skills as medium studying at the world renowned Arthur Findlay College in Stansted, near London, the world’s foremost college for the advancement of spiritualism and psychic sciences. He has also completed many courses at the National Federation of Spiritualist Healers (a charitable trust now called the Healing Trust).

What is a medium?

To give their full a title a ‘spiritualist medium’ is someone who can communicate with the spirits of people who have passed away. Mediums are the conduit through which the living can make contact with the dead.

A Medium is a person who has developed their spiritual knowledge and uses this to form a link between this world and the ‘spirit world’. It must, however, be remembered that everybody has the capability to be a medium of some kind, it is just that not everybody knows how to interpret the correct signs.

Spiritualist Union of Ireland

Tom is founder and President of the Spiritualist Union of Ireland, which was set up to support the development and the advancement of mediumship in the Republic of Ireland.  It is the country’s first spiritual sanctuary whereas there are numerous spiritual churches established the Britain and Northern Ireland.

“Medium at Large”

“Medium at Large” was the great title in today’s Ango Celt the local newspaper in Cavan where Tom Colton kicks off his national tomorrow night at the Crystal Hotel.

Medium at large in the Crystal

Medium Tom Colton launches Feel the Spirit, his 50-date tour of the country at the Cavan Crystal Hotel tomorrow (Thursday, July 30). It is the first national tour of the country by an Irish medium and continues till the end of November. In December there will be a series of special one-off Christmas With Spirit events in Waterford, Cork and Dublin.

“This tour is a huge undertaking and something I’m looking forward to immensely,” said Tom. “I got a great reaction at my recent events in Dublin, where we had people who’d travelled from all over the country, so now it is my turn to come to them and I can’t wait.”

Tom’s press material says he is able to connect with spirits of the bereaved and people are asked to bring a photograph of a loved one they would like to connect with. Deeply compelling, often startling and occasionally humorous, Tom’s down-to-earth approach has earned him the respect of the many people for whom he has read.
